Think You’re Getting Enough Protein?

Want to bet your body on it?

Think about this, EVERY function of your cells, tissues, organs and whole body is controlled by PROTEINS!

Proteins manufacture hormones, enzymes, cell messengers, nucleic acids, components of the immune system and more. Protein helps your body repair and make new cells. Without protein, your body cannot generate the biochemical substances necessary for cardiovascular function, muscle contraction, growth and healing.

Protein builds muscle!

All the protein you need for your body to function comes from the food you eat.

Are you getting enough protein from your diet?

Without an adequate amount of protein, your muscles won’t heal as quickly and that my friend can lead to injury.

The best way to get the amount of protein your body needs is through the food you eat, but it’s not always that easy. Especially if you work, go to school or don’t have time to prepare a meal. This is where protein shakes can help.

After a workout, your body needs protein delivered to your muscles to begin repairing the “micro tears” caused by intense contraction. Solid food takes more time to digest and break down the protein desperately needed. Why wait?

Take a protein shake immediately following a workout and in about 30 minutes, the protein will be delivered to the muscles. The faster your muscles can recover, the more time they spend GROWING!

Keep protein levels constant with small meals throughout the day and just before you go to bed drink a protein shake to give your muscles the protein they’ll need to heal while you sleep.

WHEY PROTEINS are a complete protein with all the essential and nonessential amino acids.

How much protein do you need for muscle growth?

At a minimum you should take in 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight. For instance if you weigh 180 pounds than the minimum amount of protein you should take in daily is 180 grams. Any additional protein just helps speed up the healing process.

Remember, not only do muscles require protein to repair and grow but EVERY cell in your body is comprised of protein.

So what are you waiting for?

Add a quality whey protein to your routine and you’ll always have enough protein to fuel your muscles.
